In the Midst of The Flood Fight...

"THE earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods." Psalm 20:2-3

The Lord has been so good to our community over the past few days. He has given the people hope and amazing strength. It has been such a blessing in such a time of disaster. We have seen people come together like we never have seen before. neighbors helping neighbors and people helping those that they don't even know. This city is amazing. We know that a lot of you are worried about us and the family. As of right now we are fairing ten times better than many others. We are about 5 miles or so from the river. There is no immediate threat to us. Please continue praying that the dyke's will hold. As we have a long week ahead of us. As of right now the river is still rising slowly and they say it may fluctuate between a couple of feet for the next few days. We are also looking at a winter storm coming in that could produce blizzard conditions. We do not need those winds for the dyke's. please pray that the lord will hold back. For we know who is in control and right now has shown much mercy. The people here are awesome. Joshua made an observation that during other natural disasters in out country people have complained and wanted the federal help right away. Here they have been working so hard and praying the whole way. You can truly see the difference from across the nation. Attached is a video from a Person here in Fargo. Not a news crew. Please watch and see how amazing the people have been. We thank you for all of your prayers. BUT PLEASE keep praying. Our community is very optimistic but we are not even half way there. As our mayor said "we have not even made it to half time yet and boy this is a long half."

Spring Snow...

Who would know a little girls (Tatum's) prayer would be answered in such a way... The other day we posted saying how excited we were that we could finally see grass. Well we take that back. There is no more grass. LOL. That is after the blizzard we had yesterday. On Monday night during bed time prayers Tatum had prayed that she would like to have more time with Daddy and that he always works. Well Tuesday morning her prayer was answered when the whole town of Fargo was closed down.
We had been under a blizzard watch. You know how weather men are sometimes right and most of the time wrong. Well not here in our neck of the woods. If they say it is going to Storm. It is going to storm and hey it will probably be even worse than they are saying.
It was a blessing. We got to spend the whole day locked up in the house with Joshua. We had a blast. The kids got to play and hang out all day with Daddy.
The storm was crazy the winds were between 24 to 35 mph all day long with wind gusts from 45 to 50 mph. There is snow every where. We took some pictures so you could see. I guess here the old saying April showers bring May flowers does not hold true. We will still be digging out of the snow. LOL...
Life is so great when you learn to find the joy in every part of it.

We See Grass!!!

Yesterday when we went to Church for visitation there was a big patch of grass that has finally shown through the snow. Yesterday we finally broke 35 degrees. It was beautiful. The funny thing about this grass story was the girls. When the we pulled up to Church Tatum and Elyssa got out of the van like they always do. But this time when they got up on the side walk I heard a bunch of commotion. I looked around the van and the girls were dancing around on the grass. They were laughing and having a good old time. I asked them what they were doing and they both hollered back... "LOOK MAMA it's GRASS!!!" I laughed so hard. If you only could have heard them. I have never seen anyone that excited to see Grass. LOL...
I must admit the sight of it is pretty thrilling. Especially since we haven't seen it since oh Late November.LOL.. I thought it was pretty cute. Who new? Grass was such an amazing thing.HAHAHA.....
