Happy 26th Birthday Josh and Britt...

Yesterday was our 26th birthday. Hard to believe. We had a great time. We spent most of the day with our little ones who were super sweet. We were woke up by Tatum and Elyssa greeting us with Happy Birthday wishes. I thought it was so sweet that they remembered with out being reminded! And then all day they wanted to know what we wanted to do. They were treating us as if it was their birthday. They were doing exactly what we do for them. Then last night we all got a babysitters and went out for Mexican food and then to a friends house to play wee fit. Which was hilarious...LOL...Crazy thing, One of our dearest friends Heidi ohas the same birthday as us. At the restraunt we went to, you eat free if it is your birthday. Imagine their suprise when we told them that there were three of us :)All in all we had a very amazing 26th birthday. It made getting one year older seem not so bad after all....

Up Date...

Hey y'all,
Sorry it has been so long since I last up dated my blog. Let's see. Christmas was great. We ended up getting snowed in Fargo. We were not able to make it to be with our families. There was a huge blizzard that came through. Nevertheless, we had a great day. We spent it with some friends. Then at 0330 the following morning we jumped on a train and headed to Indiana. It was an amazing trip. The LORD truly blessed. My Dad has tons of pictures. I am waiting for him to send them and then I will get them up here. I just wanted to let you know what we have been doing.

This weekend we are bracing for another huge blizzard. Joshua's Mom is getting married down in the Twin Cities. We were suppose to be leaving tomorrow evening but are now heading out of town tonight to beat the storm. LORD willing we will make it back between Church on Sunday. But who knows they are saying that it may be so bad that they will have to cancel Church. LOL... Something that we never heard when we were living in California.

Hope your new year has gotten off to a great start. Things are going great here. Joshua is still praying about re-enlistment and where the LORD will lead next. School is going great. Tatum has started to sound out very short words. Elyssa is doing great with her little school, and Titus is growing like a weed. We can not believe that we have been in Fargo almost two years. My how time goes. Joshua is due to re up by September 23rd. Please be in Prayer for what the LORD will have him to do. We could get are orders for anytime after October and then transfer proably within three months of recieving them. I am excited to see what the LORD has in store for our fmaily in 2010. I know he is ever faithful and will always provide. He has been so good to our family and I know that he will continue to be.

We Love you all and miss you, where ever you may be....

With Love in Him,
Brittany

Merry Christmas....

We wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas from our family to all of yours. I love this time of year. People seem more friendly and there is something special in the air. For our family we are focused solely on the Miracle of Jesus Christ's birth. I am so thankful that God would send his only son to earth. To teach us of heavens blessed gift of Salvation. And that he would shed his blood on Calvary for my sins. I am reminded of that wondrous day when I asked the Lord to forgive me and to save me. It was 6 years ago now. And my life has never been the same. I would not change where I am now for anything in the world. The only prayer that I have as I start the new year is that I could have a stronger relationship with my Lord and Saviour. As Christmas draws near and we celebrate with family and friends my hope is that we will not loose sight of why we have all of this good cheer. That we would see the miracles that God has worked in every one of our lives. That we would thank him for his Mercie and goodness and that if you do not know him, that you would find your way to the best present you will ever receive. Merry Christmas...

Christmas Picture Pre-view

We took our Christmas picture's yesterday. We are going to take some more of the three little angles together on Sunday. They all came out blurry :( Thank you soooooo Much to our friend Heidi for the wonderful job she did!!! The The kids did great. It always takes a minute for Elyssa to warm up to taking pictures however she is so sweet..... Then by the end Titus is done :) We had some Christmas ornaments for him to hold. That idea was not so good. I don't know what we were thinking giving a one and a half year old something that resembled a ball. Needless to say there are none with Titus and an ornanament....LOL... And Tatum.. She is always game. She know what's going on. I love how each one is so unique and different :) Hope you enjoy....

Happy 4th Birthday Elyssa Faith...

Happy Birthday to Elyssa Faith on Thursday November 19th. Sorry it took a couple days to get the pictures up. We had so much fun on her Birthday. She picked to eat at Golden Corral that night. No Surprise to us:) Our girl's love that place. Elyssa and Tatum alike love the Okra. That is the only place in town that we know of that you can get it. She loved her gifts. But most of all we had a nice night out as a family. Happy Birthday sweet little Honey Bear :)

In Christ Alone...

As we attend the Marine Corp Ball on Friday I thought of so many different things. I thought of how much I love my country but more than that how much I love my God. Every year as we sit and watch the Commandants birthday address, it reminds me of how Thankful I am to be an American. More importantly that I am saved. And I certainly am well reminded of how the LORD needs Godly men in the military. I have had many people ask over the years how could you be married to a military man? Isn't he gone a lot? How could he leave his children for such long periods of time? Aren't you worried that something may happen to him? All of these questions were running through my mind as the ceremony marched on, as the video played and told stories of young men and women who have given their all for this countries freedom.

"In Christ Alone" is one of my favorite songs. A friend of mine and her Father sing it at our Church. It was like the LORD brought me an answer to every question that has ever been asked. Yes he is gone a lot, but in Christ I put my hope and Trust. It is not easy for him to leave his children for long periods of time, however he knows that he is doing what the LORD has called him to do. Yes I do worry that something will happen to him. That is every military wives fear. But in Christ alone I put my faith, that whatever happens is part of Christ Divine perfect will for our lives.

My husband loves the LORD with all his heart. He is devoted to God and Country. I would be a fool not to be proud of him or his career decisions. I will be honest sometimes I struggle with, how could God want him away from his family for so long, he is suppose to be our leader. Then I am well reminded of many Godly men in the Bible who were men of war and loved the LORD first and foremost. Such as Joshua and David. David was even considered a man after Gods own heart.

I am thankful to be married to such a wonderful man. A man that has put on the uniform and sworn to protect this country from enemies foreign and domestic. A man that knows who he serves and knows his purpose in life. A man that loves his family is an amazing Father and would gladly give his all for this country if the LORD saw fit. He is Humble, faithful, loving and brave. In Christ Alone he puts his faith and trust. He is sure there is no other name under Heaven in whom to trust and obey.
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

I love my Husband and with that comes a love for the Corp. I am so gracious that LORD has allowed me to be married to Joshua and has given us three beautiful children. I will gladly support and serve with him in what ever the LORD calls him to do. And if it means staying in the military then there is no other place I would rather be. For the safest place is in the center of God's will.

Happy Birthday Marines and Semper Fi
Love,
Brittany
